SELF SERVICE with Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers.
It all started here on Dad’s 1958 Slingerland’s and Zildjian Cymbals at 9 years of age.
Concert at Catlin High School. Catlin, IL.
In February, David moved back to drums & vocals for the band RED SHOES.
David joined the corporate dance band Endless Summer Band.
 
The band played Zoobilation (Indianapolis Zoo) and opened for Johnny Mathis.
Kelly Richey Band played from coast to coast and from the boundary waters of Minnesota to the Keys of Florida including opening for David Allen Coe / Foghat / Bonnie Raitt and Keb Mo.
Numerous performances with Mississippi Soul Singer Johnny Rawls including Buddy Guy's Legend's (Chicago), Skip’s (Angola, IN), and The Slippery Noodle (Indianapolis, IN).
This year ended with a New Years Eve show with the Gordon Bonham Blues Band.
Front, Drums, & Vocals for top 40 show and dance group One Eyed Jacks. With this band David spent six weeks in Kodiak, Alaska.

SELF SERVICE. The band toured the eastern half of the US.
David with Dean Martin’s Ding-A-Lings.
Bass Guitar, Vocals for the hight energy R & B, dance, rock trio Qpublik.
In March, at 15 years of age, David was chosen by local band directors to perform with William “Cat” Anderson, Duke Ellington’s trumpet player of 27 years.
Drums, Vocals & Harmonica  for the four piece high energy rock group The Cause.
1959 was a tight ten piece 50’s & 60’s show band. This group released a 45-RPM record along with a 14 song album of classic songs of that era. The group also appeared on an episode of CBS’s PM Magazine in September on WCIA TV Champaign, Illinois.

In November of 2004 David began endorsing Zildjian Cymbals.
Drums, Vocals & Harmonica for the Top 40 dance rock group PUSH.
In front of the ocean is how every cocktail set should look.
Tracking tunes for Faith Marie’s album 20 Minutes at the Static Shack (Indianapolis, IN) in February.
Outside of musical activities in high school, achievements were made by performing in the Danville, Municipal Concert Band for two years. Two Danville Light Opera performances of “The Music Man” & “Sugar”. Music for Sugar was based on the Chicago Big Band era.
Drums & Vocals for the variety band One Step Higher. Played the Vermillion County Festival (Georgetown, IL).
Drums & Vocals for the variety band Freestyle.
Front, Vocals, Guitar, Harmonicas, Percussion for top 40 group THE HEADLINZ.
This group toured the Midwest & Eastern United States.
Jim Foley & the Stone Country Band had a song list of over 900 songs. This group released a 45-RPM record on Blue Orchid Records. This band was also the core group behind 1959.
Freelanced - Drums for mostly small jazz groups & variety bands. In September David performed at the Broom Corn Festival with country artist Naomi Hills.
Front, Vocals, Guitar, Keyboards & Percussion for kickin’ rock ‘n blues group RED SHOES.
Drums & Vocals for variety dance rock group THE FAMILY started that December.

Drums for power blues band THE GROOVE GENERALS. This band featured guitarist Keith Harden and Duke Tomato and the All Star Frogs keyboardist Jimmy Hill.
Drums & Vocals for rock group STILETTO.
Qpublic played The Oldsmobile Balloon Classic, Vervillion County Airport.
Rockin on stage with Brian Marshall Goodwin.
Drums, Vocals, & Harmonica for the Top 40 dance rock group PUSH.
Drums for power blues guitarist Southside Denny Snyder. Toured US and Canada with performances at Buddy Guy’s Legends in support of Denny’s CD Rollin’ Home.
Vocals, Harmonica, Acoustic & Electric Guitar for solo act.
Playing Conseco Fieldhouse Indianapolis, IN for the Pacer Draft Pre-Party.
Indiana Pacer Fan Jam at Conseco Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, IN.
Drums, Vocals, & Harmonica for various Indianapolis house bands.
Performance at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for Fuzzy Zeoller’s Wolf Challenge.

Cameo drum appearance on She’s Gone from Laurie Stonerock’s album Meant To Be.
Acoustic, Electric & Bass Guitars, Vocals & Harmonicas, for the variety dance rock group FOOL’S PARADE.
Jazz On The Point with the Dan Berhringer Trio on a nice July Thursday.
Drums, Percussion, Assistant Engineer and Co-Production on this self titled CD for songwriters Steve & Rhonda Simon was released in July.
Drums & Vocals for The Police & Sting tribute band SYNCHRONICITY.
C4Sound Studios (Indianapolis, IN) recording session for country artist Dale Hyre.
Other highlights include the recording of “Waterwise Bob” infomercial at Bennett Innovations (Indianapolis, IN) for musician/producer Greg McGuirk as well David rejoined Southside Denny.

Performance highlights this year included the Summer In The City Festival (South Bend, IN) and the Danville Blues Festival (Danville, Indiana) in July with Southside Denny.
October performance at the Indianapolis Arts Garden with the band No Regrets.
Also in November a little work time for and hang time with Kenny Arronoff.

July performance in Philadelphia, PA for NFL Hall Of Fame running back Franco O’Harris.
July saw another performance at the Bayview Yacht Race Awards Ceremony Mackinac Island, MI. Complete with the second set as pirates!

February saw the Southside Denny release Moving On...

June 8th saw the release of the Yank Rachell tribute album. In tribute David played drums on Yank’s biggest hit “She Caught The Katy”. For the release party David performed with Andra Faye of Sapphire - The Uppity Blues Women and W. C. Handy Award winning mandolin artist Rich DelGrosso.
